PHYLLIS DILLER'S Philli Dilli Chicken CHILI

"It took Diller to remove the Filler"
Phyllis Diller and her daughters launch their new line of Phyllis
Diller Chili
Phyllis Diller's Philli Dilli Chili, based on her own recipe,  debuted in 1987 in three varieties, beef, chicken and vegitarian. The venture proved to be unsuccessful due to
 lack of good distribution and
ceased production within just a few years.

  1. I was living in Las Vegas when it debuted and was just having a discussion with a Nurse coworker about canned chili and which one was best. This was absolutely the best canned chili I have ever eaten and now I miss it! :-( I didn't know it only lasted 3 years...

  2. Most of this info on the chili is incorrect. Phyllis was the spokes person for the chili that was named after her. Someone else actually owned the brand and they closed down the line when they created another very well known brand and couldn’t run both companies.

  3. I had the privilege of working with Phyllis when she came to my radio station KJOI 98.7 FM in Hollywood, CA...I produced a radio commercial for her chili that aired in the LA market...she was an absolute blast to work with and a real pro in the voice-over booth...we laughed a lot but when it came time to work she was all business!
