Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster
From the Society of Illustrators:

Drew Friedman’s two recent books Heroes of the Comics and More Heroes of the Comics, published by Fantagraphics books, depicted the great early comic book publishers and creators who entered into the dawn of the business between 1935–1955, among them, Jack Kirby, Joe Simon, Lev Gleason, Bob Kane, Jerry Siegel & Joe Shuster, Stan Lee, Jack Cole, Matt Baker, William M. Gaines, Wally Wood, Al Jaffee, Harvey Kurtzman, Ramona Fradon, etc. A milestone in the early history of comic books.

The Museum of Illustration at the Society of Illustrators is proud to present 82 original, meticulous color illustrations and biographies from Friedman’s two books throughout the month of May.
